Class of 2012, Congrats Cole!

Photos from Africa...

My husband and I recently returned from one of the most spectacular vacations ever. We spent 17 days hunting in Namibia, Africa. After 30+ hours of traveling through airports and then a 5 hour drive we arrived at our first lodge in the Northern part of Namibia. All of the "green" you see in this photo is landscaping. The catus and such do not grow in the wild. This shot makes me feel like we were in New Mexico... but we weren't.

The Oryx

A very young Kudo

Silly little guinea hen & chick

Beautiful blue birds, not sure what they are called

The Eland

The Springbok.

The Warthog.

The baboon.

Our hut for the next week.

After an eight hours drive south we have arrived at the Wildheim lodge. It's much more like desert here. Very flat and not much green.

The waterbok.

The very last morning, as we were carting our luggage up to the lodge, low and behold there are the giraffes out for a morning munch.

Traveling the world...

Our very last morning at the ranch we drove out to the sand dune for breakfast. It was too cold (40 degrees) out to run barefoot in the sand, but I did get a few snaps in.
